The Bilingual Program is a UniFAJ initiative committed to integrating English into students’ academic journey, strengthening the institution’s internationalization and preparing students for an increasingly global job market.

Created in 2021, the Program has been continuously evolving, with a special focus on the health sciences and the development of language skills applicable to academic and professional contexts. The goal is to go beyond language instruction and also promote the use of the language as a means of fostering cultural awareness and intelligence.

As part of this strategy, UniFAJ has partnered with Altissia, an international self-paced language learning platform that offers flexible access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with personalized learning paths, progress tracking, interactive resources, and gamification strategies. The platform expands opportunities for self-directed and continuous learning, respecting each user’s level and pace, making it the perfect tool for everyone’s journey.

The goal of the Bilingual Program is to evolve alongside the academic community to better meet its needs and demands. Therefore, believing in the transformative power of education, we work to prepare and support professionals to operate with confidence in international contexts and multicultural settings through the development of sociolinguistic competencies, expanded access to high-quality scientific literature, accessible academic mobility, and opportunities for global collaboration.
